Location
The name "Su Coddu" refers to two archaeologically significant sites in Sardinia. One is the extensive Neo-Eneolithic village of Su Coddu in Selargius. Once a thriving settlement between the 3rd and 2nd millennia BC, it now provides valuable insights into the island's early settlement history and is considered one of the largest pre-Nuragic villages in the Mediterranean.
The second notable site is the Tomba di Giganti di Coddu 'Ecchju, also known as Capichera. This impressive Giants' Tomb near Arzachena in Gallura is an outstanding example of Nuragic funerary architecture. It is closely linked to the nearby Nuraghe complex of La Prisgiona and fascinates with its excellent state of preservation, allowing a deep insight into the religious rituals of the Nuragic culture.
