Location
Spiaggia Abbarossa, also known as Cirras, is a picturesque stretch of coastline in the municipality of Santa Giusta, south of the industrial port of Oristano. It spans about 3.5 kilometers and is characterized by fine, light sand, as well as the clear, inviting waters of the Gulf of Oristano.
A special feature of this beach are the towering sand dunes, which rise up to 20 meters and are home to rich Mediterranean vegetation. The coastline is often quiet and invites long walks, away from the crowds of many other Sardinian beaches. Its location, nestled between the port of Oristano to the north and a fish pond to the south, gives it a unique, natural atmosphere.
Although the beach is well-visited during high season, its size still offers plenty of space. A section of this beach is also designated as a Dog Beach, making it a popular destination for dog owners.
