Cabras

Cabras is an Italian municipality with approximately 8,800 inhabitants located in the province of Oristano on the western coast of Sardinia. The town is situated in the Campidano di Oristano region on the left bank of the Stagno di Cabras, also known as Mari Pontis. This lagoon is one of the largest in Europe and significantly shapes the landscape and lifestyle of the area. The municipal territory also includes the uninhabited island of Mal di Ventre. As a key center in western Sardinia, Cabras combines its maritime location with an extensive wetland system that is vital to the island's ecological balance.

The municipality is located in western Sardinia within the province of Oristano. Geographically, the area belongs to the Campidano di Oristano region.
