Selegas, known as Sèligas in the Sardinian language, is a municipality located in the Metropolitan City of Cagliari with a population of approximately 1,274 inhabitants. The town is positioned roughly 40 kilometres north of the regional capital, Cagliari. Lage

The municipality of Selegas is situated within the Metropolitan City of Cagliari in southern Sardinia. Geographically, the village is located approximately 40 kilometres north of the capital city, Cagliari, in the historical Trexenta region. The total municipal territory covers an area of 20.5 square kilometres. The population has seen changes over the recent decades, decreasing from around 1,511 residents in 2004 to a current count of approximately 1,263 to 1,274 inhabitants. Its setting is defined by the gentle hills of the Trexenta, which is a key agricultural zone in the hinterland of Cagliari.
