Location
The Monte Linas massif rises to 1,236 metres between Gonnosfanadiga, Villacidro and Arbus. Steep granite and schist slopes, deeply cut streams and extensive holm oak woods make it one of the most intact mountain areas in south-west Sardinia. Well-known waterfalls such as Piscina Irgas and Muru Mannu lie in its valleys, while the heights shelter Sardinian deer, wildcat and birds of prey. Together with Marganai it forms a Natura 2000 site.
