The name "Porto Raffa" can cause confusion in Sardinia, as it refers to at least two geographical entities. In the northeastern part of Sardinia, near Palau, there is Porto Rafael, an exclusive and picturesque location with a main beach known for its soft white sand and crystal-clear waters. Here, one can enjoy charming village life and linger over an aperitif.

In southwestern Sardinia, however, you will find the Spiaggia di Portu Raffa. This is located in the Inglesiente area, more precisely near Nebida, a district of Iglesias. It consists of two small, intimate coves, accessible via a path, which offer a quieter retreat.

Highlights

  • Two distinct locations sharing the same name
  • Spiaggia di Porto Rafael: fine white sand, clear waters (north)
  • Spiaggia di Portu Raffa: two hidden coves (southwest)
