Perda 'e Liana

Monte Perda Liana is a distinctive tabletop formation — a "tacco" — in east-central Sardinia, on the boundary between Ogliastra and the Barbagia di Seùlo. A near-vertical limestone cylinder rises about a hundred metres from a wooded schist cone, visible as a landmark from far away and protected as a regional natural monument. A waymarked path climbs from the forest track through holm oaks and junipers to the base of the wall; on clear days the view stretches from the Gennargentu to the east-coast sea. The face itself is a known climbing objective, while for hikers the route ends at the foot of the rock.
