Castel Pedreso, also known as Castello di Pedres, is a fascinating medieval castle ruin perched on a hill west of Olbia. Built between 1296 and 1322, it played a significant role in defending Civita (modern-day Olbia) and the borders of the Judicate of Gallura.

Although only ruins of the former fortress remain, they bear witness to the castle's past importance and strategic location. From here, comprehensive control was exercised over the surrounding landscape and vital sea routes.
