Santu Lussurgiu is a Sardinian municipality in the Province of Oristano with a population of approximately 2,140 to 2,180 inhabitants. The village is nestled within the Monte Ferru massif, an ancient extinct volcano in the Planargia region. It occupies a strategic position in central-western Sardinia, located about 25 kilometers north of Oristano and approximately 110 kilometers northwest of the regional capital, Cagliari. As an authentic center, Santu Lussurgiu combines geological features with a well-established settlement structure deeply influenced by its volcanic surroundings and elevation.

Lage

The municipality is located in the northwest of the Province of Oristano. Its geographical position is defined by its proximity to Monte Ferru and the Planargia region. Situated 25 kilometers from the provincial capital and 110 kilometers from Cagliari in the southeast of the island, Santu Lussurgiu serves as an important hub in the hinterland of the central-western coast.
