Porto Torres

Porto Torres is located in northwestern Sardinia within the Gulf of Asinara and is part of the Metropolitan City of Sassari. Covering an area of approximately 102.62 square kilometres with a population of about 20,800 inhabitants, the city is a significant regional hub. Historically established as the first Roman colony on the island, Porto Torres today blends its ancient heritage with its role as one of Sardinia's primary seaports. The port ranks as the island's second-largest after Olbia and serves as a vital maritime traffic junction.
