Decimomannu

Decimomannu is an Italian municipality located within the Metropolitan City of Cagliari in southern Sardinia, home to approximately 8,355 residents. The local people are known as decimesi or occasionally decimomannesi. Situated roughly 15 to 17 kilometers northwest of Cagliari's city center, the town serves as a significant residential and strategic hub in the surrounding metropolitan area. Bordered by municipalities such as Villasor, San Sperate, and Assemini, Decimomannu is characterized by its proximity to the regional capital while maintaining its own distinct community identity within the Campidano plain.

Decimomannu is positioned in a flat landscape to the northwest of Cagliari. The distance to the regional capital varies between 15 and 17 kilometers depending on the specific location. The municipality shares borders with several neighboring towns: Villasor to the north, San Sperate to the northeast, and both Villaspeciosa and Decimoputzu to the west.
