Nuraghe Sa Mura

Nuraghe Sa Mura, situated on a picturesque high plateau northeast of Samugheo, offers a fascinating glimpse into Sardinia's Bronze Age history. This archaeological site is an excellent example of the Nuragic civilization, renowned for its massive stone towers. Unlike many other nuraghes, primarily interpreted as defensive or residential structures, Sa Mura, paired with a Giants' Tomb, also provides evidence of ritual use.

The complex comprises the central nuraghe, a mighty stone tower, and a nearby Giants' Tomb structure, indicating a complex social and spiritual significance of the site.
