Fluminimaggiore

Fluminimaggiore is located in southwestern Sardinia and is a municipality in the province of Sulcis Iglesiente with around 2,600 inhabitants. The small town is situated in the heart of the historic Iglesiente region and spans an area defined by its location within the Parco Geominerario Storico ed Ambientale della Sardegna. The town combines the mountainous landscape of the hinterland with a small coastal section in the northwest that borders the Mediterranean Sea. Fluminimaggiore is located approximately 14 kilometers from Iglesias and 31 kilometers from Carbonia, serving as a significant center in this historically important mining region where nature and industrial heritage converge.
