Tomba dei giganti di Li Lolghi

The Tomba dei Giganti di Li Lolghi is one of Sardinia's most significant megalithic tombs. This prehistoric monument near Arzachena is a testament to the mysterious Nuragic culture and served as a collective burial site. The entire complex stretches over 27 meters and once dominated the surrounding landscape from a gentle hilltop.

Particularly striking is the monumental exedra at the entrance, a semicircular arrangement of stone slabs that once formed the forecourt. In its center rises a 3.75-meter-high monolithic stele, which served as a doorway to the interior of the burial chamber. The actual burial chamber is an elongated corridor, built from large, upright stone slabs and once covered by an earthen mound.
