Nuraxi Su Pressiu

Su Nuraxi di Barumini is the most outstanding example of Sardinia's unique Nuragic defensive complexes. This archaeological site, discovered in the 1950s, was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1997, bearing witness to the advanced culture of the Nuragic people in Sardinia.

The complex Nuragic system includes a central tower, surrounded by four other towers and a massive perimeter wall. Adjacent to it lies an extensive Nuragic village with remains of dwellings and other structures, providing deep insight into the life of the Bronze Age population.
