Nuraghe Biriu near Genoni is an impressive prehistoric Nuragic complex, known for its precise construction using limestone blocks.

Nuraghe Biriu, also known as Dom'e Biriu, is located about 1.5 km north of Genoni in the heart of Sardinia. It represents a remarkable example of the Nuragic civilization, famous for its unique dry-stone towers found only in Sardinia.

This archaeological site stands out due to its exceptionally regular construction. The Nuragic people carefully selected and precisely worked limestone blocks to erect this impressive structure, which is now protected. The entire archaeological area around Nuraghe Biriu and Bruncu Suergiu covers approximately 11 hectares, testifying to the importance of this prehistoric settlement.

Visiting Nuraghe Biriu offers the opportunity to delve deep into the history and culture of Sardinia and to admire the architectural skills of the Nuragic people who lived on the island over 3,000 years ago.
