Nuraghe Aiga

The Nuraghe Aiga, situated on a low hill just outside the village of Abbasanta in central Sardinia, is an impressive testament to the prehistoric Nuragic culture. It is classified as a complex nuraghe – a structure comprising a central tower (mastio) and several secondary towers, which might have been encircled by a defensive wall. Despite the challenges posed by vegetation, the site reveals its former grandeur and significance. In addition to the towers, with the mastio still preserving two intact floors, remnants of an associated village can also be discerned, hinting at the settlement density and social structure of that era.
