Geridu represents a rare testament to medieval life in Sardinia. Located between Sorso and Sennori, this abandoned village was once a thriving settlement, whose origins likely date to around 1100, possibly built upon the foundations of a previous Roman settlement.
Archaeological excavations have uncovered traces of several centuries of occupation, including multiple medieval dwellings built one above the other. The site allows visitors to immerse themselves in a bygone era and imagine the daily lives of people from that time. It is the only fully preserved medieval site of its kind on the island.
