The Torre di Mariano II, also known as Torre di San Cristoforo, is one of the few surviving remnants of Oristano's medieval city fortifications. Built in 1290 during the reign of Mariano II, it once served as an important part of the city wall.

This beautiful 13th-century tower is entirely constructed from carefully hewn sandstone blocks. Particularly the lower five meters feature detailed bossage, which attests to the high craftsmanship of the period. Today, one can climb the tower for a small entrance fee and enjoy a magnificent panoramic view over the historic city of Oristano.
