Stagno di Porto Botte lies on Sardinia's south-west coast in the municipality of Giba, adjoining Stagno di Baiocco. Owned by the Region of Sardinia, it covers 1.96 km² with an average salinity of about 0.56 psu. It is designated a Site of Community Importance (ITB042226) within the Natura 2000 network, protecting its habitat, flora and wildlife. For visitors to Sulcis it is a genuinely quiet place: no infrastructure, but wide views across shallow water where flamingos, ducks and waders rest. Watch from the gravel tracks and the shore road without approaching the birds.
