The Monte Idda Nuraghe, once a strategically important site, stood on a rocky outcrop of the eponymous Monte Idda near the village of Posada. Although now almost entirely destroyed, its location attests to the significance of these prehistoric structures in Sardinia.
This nuraghe once served as an observation post and refuge, dominating the river plain and offering far-reaching views of the surrounding area. It was typical of the Middle Bronze Age Nuragic culture.

Der Monte Idda Nuraghe, heute fast vollständig zerstört, befand sich auf einem Felsvorsprung des Monte Idda, neben der Ortschaft Posada. Er liegt auf einer Anhöhe von etwa 90 m ü.M., südwestlich des Zentrums und dominierte die Flussebenen. Eine temporäre Ausstellung zeigte punische und römische Funde von Ausgrabungen in der Umgebung. Er liegt im Bereich Sarrabus ungefähr 10 km Luftlinie von San Vito entfernt.
