The Nuraghe Tanca Manna is an impressive example of prehistoric Sardinian architecture, harmoniously integrated into the urban landscape of Nuoro. It consists of a central single tower, whose chamber is adorned with a characteristic tholos ceiling, a false dome. Inside, there are two opposing niches, one of which was carved directly from the natural rock.

This archaeological complex, dating back approximately 3,600 years to the early Bronze Age, includes not only the nuraghe itself but also the remains of an associated village. The entire site is set within an urban park of about 7 hectares, part of the Su Nuraghe district, offering significant insight into the early history and culture of Sardinia.

Excavations in 2013 and 2014 have provided valuable insights into the use and structure of this Nuragic settlement. As one of the oldest archaeological sites in Nuoro, the nuraghe stands on an elevated position, dominating the city center and underscoring its strategic importance in the past.
