Orune

Orune is an authentic municipality located in the Province of Nuoro, within the autonomous region of Sardinia. With a population of approximately 2,000 residents, the town preserves its original character in the heart of the island. The settlement is situated in close proximity to the provincial capital of Nuoro and represents a central point in the hilly landscape of the Barbagia. Geographically, Orune is situated in the northern part of the Province of Nuoro. The municipality is located approximately 11 kilometers north of the city of Nuoro and about 130 kilometers north of the Sardinian capital, Cagliari.
